I'm excited to announce the release of a brand new update for the "Convert JPG, PNG to WebP Pro" WordPress plugin—Version 1.1.5. This version comes packed with improvements that will further enhance your image conversion experience!

New Features and Enhancements:

Automatic WebP Conversion upon Upload:
- You no longer have to worry about manually converting images. With this update, any new JPG or PNG images uploaded to your site will automatically convert to WebP, as long as the WebP conversion is enabled.
Custom CSS Optimisation:
- I've cleaned up the inline styles and moved them into an external CSS file. This ensures faster loading times and a more streamlined performance.

Bug Fixes and Improvements:

Improved File Handling:
- The plugin now properly deletes the original JPG/PNG image after conversion using the secure WordPress function wp_delete_file(), freeing up space and making your media library leaner.
Error Reporting and Debugging Adjustments:
- I have removed potential path disclosure issues by eliminating ini_set() and error_reporting() warnings. The plugin now follows best practices for security, especially when WP_DEBUG is enabled.
Conversion Enablement Fix:
- Fixed an issue where WebP conversion would still happen even when the "Enable WebP Conversion" option was disabled. Now, the plugin respects your settings properly.

Code Enhancements:

Enhanced User Experience:
- A clear, visual status indicator now appears in the admin panel showing whether WebP conversion is enabled or disabled.
Security Best Practices:
- I've implemented nonce verification to enhance security when handling user requests.
- User inputs across plugin settings have been properly sanitized and validated to ensure a secure and seamless experience.

Instructions for Updating:

Deactivate Previous Versions:
- Before installing version 1.1.5, please deactivate any previous versions of the plugin to prevent conflicts. Including the free or the pro versions.
Activate the Pro Version:
- After installation, go to Settings > WebP Conversion Settings in your WordPress dashboard to configure the plugin.
- Make sure to enable the "WebP Conversion" option and adjust the settings to fit your needs.
